Mr. Staley is a civil trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience. His trial and ADR practice covers a broad range of business and real estate litigation matters, including. landlord/tenant disputes, contract disputes, fraud and other commercial torts, alter ego, covenants not to compete, unfair competition and business practices, trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, partnership disputes, defective construction, mechanic's liens, and easements and related property disputes. Mr. Staley represents a wide range of clients, from large banks, financial institutions and public companies, to small start-ups, individuals, and closely held companies.
Mr. Staley is a 1978 graduate of Phillips Andover Academy. He obtained his BA in philosophy with honors from the University of California at San Diego in 1982 and his JD with honors from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1985. Following graduation, Rob served a clerkship with the San Francisco Superior Court. He then practiced with Ropers, Majeski, Kohn, Bentley, Wagner & Kane in San Francisco before joining our firm in 1987.
